Inside Annabel’s Instagrammable new bathroom designed by Martin Brudnizki

The Victoria Beckham-approved powder room awaits

There’s a new selfie spot in town, and it’s the most glamorous and spectacular yet.

Ever since infamous Mayfair members’ club Annabel’s reopened last year, a selfie in the perfectly pink loos, with its flower-covered ceiling and gold swan taps, has become one of London’s hottest status symbols. But now Annabel’s has upped the ante and revealed a brand new bathroom that’s even more Instagram-worthy than its last, a feat we didn’t believe possible until we saw it with our own eyes.

Pink Sink And Mosaic Wall In Annabel'S Bathroom Designed By Martin Brudnizki Design StudioPin
Four million pieces of mosaic glass were used to create the spectacular Martin Brudnizki Design Studio design

Victoria Beckham christened the bathrooms herself when they opened last week, posting a picture of herself posing elegantly against a pink scallop-edged basin. Dubbed “The Loos in the Mews” and housed on the third floor of the club’s sprawling townhouse, the rainforest and jungle-themed bathroom was designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, who are responsible for the lavish interiors throughout the club.

Gloriously extravagant and over-the-top, it took four million pieces of mosaic glass to create the exquisite jungle pattern, filled with exotic birds and foliage, that covers the walls, ceilings and floors in both the men’s and women’s bathrooms. The sinks in the ladies were crafted out of pink onyx and hand-carved to replicate the shape of Bergenia flower heads, while in the gents, a 500kg piece of green onyx has been fashioned into a basin the shape of a crocodile. Bespoke Murano mirrors made by Italian craftsmen, an antique Venetian-style mirror and a grand brass console table also fill the space. The only downside? It’s so beautiful, you may never want to leave.
