As part of my new weekly column I will be choosing five different beauty products to share with you every week, ranging from my favourite new skincare saviours, ultimate make-up must-haves, hair care heroes and body boosters, through to the freshest scents of the season. I get to test every single new beauty product before it hits the stores, so I truly appreciate the life-changing power of a great one. Here are the new releases that I’m most excited about this week.
Dior Diorskin Mineral Nude Bronzer in Warm Flame, £35
Now that the sun is here, I’m updating my summer make-up. Top of my list is this new limited-edition bronzing powder infused with golden minerals which provides believable warmth and a luminous effect. Designed with two tones, the compact is available in two shades: Light Flame, which provides a soft bronze effect for paler skin tones, and Warm Flame, which gives a stronger contrast to enhance medium to darker complexions. You can wear it as a light dusting all-over for a sun kissed glow, and I also like to buff it over tinted moisturiser or foundation on areas that naturally catch the sun.
Giorgio Armani Neo Nude Glow Foundation, £34
The dream hybrid between a foundation and a tinted moisturiser, this is my current summer go-to for flawless skin. The texture is ultra lightweight, with a water-based formula packed full of hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerine, perfect for thirsty, parched skin. And though it may be light it still delivers buildable coverage, that evens out skin tone and helps hide redness without masking your natural skin. It comes in 24 shades, so you’ll be able to find the perfect match for both your pre and post summer tan.
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia, £62
In preparation for warmer days, I’ve switched up my fragrance wardrobe with this bright, light and fresh take on a juicy citrus scent. Notes of blood orange and mint offer the initial zestyness, anchored by woody notes of tonka bean and musk. It instantly transports me to lying on a beach in a single spritz.
Larry King Liquid Hairbrush Conditioner, £42
Possibly the best-named hair-product ever, this lightweight yet super nourishing conditioner is part of The Wash Cycle hair-care range by London star-stylist Larry King. It smoothes down the cuticle to help lock in moisture and reduce frizz, and detangles knotty lengths in a flash whilst adding tons of shine and softness. An extra bonus is that it leaves hair smelling so chic (if you could bottle the essence of chic – this would be it!)
Murad Vita-C Eyes Dark Circle Corrector, £56
With many of us currently experiencing disturbed sleep patterns, I’m being asked more and more about the best products to combat dark circles. This brightening eye serum is powered by a stabilised form of vitamin C and red algae to fight blue, brown and red tones and target sun damage and fine lines. It feels wonderfully lightweight and absorbs quickly, plus the light-reflecting, micro minerals infused-cream also leaves a slight shimmer underneath the eyes for added luminosity.
