Alessandra Steinherr picks her five favourite new beauty products of the week

The Glossary’s Contributing Beauty Director reveals her must-haves, from Gucci Westman’s latest beauty launch to the ultimate self-tanning multi-tasker

As part of my weekly column I will be choosing five different beauty products to share with you every week, ranging from my favourite new skincare saviours, ultimate make-up must-haves, hair care heroes and body boosters, through to the freshest scents of the season. I get to test every single new beauty product before it hits the stores, so I truly appreciate the life-changing power of a great one. Here are the new releases that I’m most excited about this week.

By Terry

Hyaluronic Pressed Hydra-Powder, £38

By Terry fans, take note – the beauty brand’s cult Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder is now available in a handy pressed compact format. Delivering the same colourless flawless finish as the loose powder, with silica micro beads to banish shine, moisture-boosting hyaluronic acid for long-lasting hydration and mica pearls to make sure your make-up stays put, it’s perfect for touch-ups on the go. Plus there’s no danger of getting that pore-clogging, caked-on look, making it the ideal choice for anyone who doesn’t like powder but still wants a polished finish that lasts.

Westman Atelier

Eye Pods, £70

With its sleek packaging, considered formulas and commitment to sustainability, leading make-up artist Gucci Westman’s beauty brand is the epitome of modern luxury. Now she’s launched two new eye-shadow trios in clever magnetic pods that snap together. Each set comprises a core shade for a base or liner, one accent shade for colour, and a third shade to highlight. I adore the flattering colours in both trios: Les Jours (a rich chocolate, warm bronze and iridescent ivory) and Les Nuits (a warm  burgundy, iridescent pink and inky black). The velvety, cream-powder-hybrid eye shadows are buildable with a rich colour payoff and have great staying power.

Sarah Chapman

Skinesis Eye Insurance SPF30, £48

A tinted SPF gentle enough to use around the eyes is literally a beauty dream come true. A similar formula to the Skinesis Skin Insurance SPF 50+ that launched earlier this year, Skinesis Eye Insurance SPF30 and has the same gorgeous texture that gives skin a dewy finish. A true multitasking workhorse, it acts as a concealer, environmental protector and anti-ageing eye cream all-in-one, with powerhouse ingredients including Beautifeye, the first active proven to firm the upper lid, Glycolift to stimulate collagen and plump the entire eye area, and optical diffusers for brighter eye contours.

Tan Luxe

Super Glow SPF30, £39

A self-tanner that feels more like skincare, Tan Luxe is my go-to tanning brand. I’ve long been a devotee of their Super Glow Serum, which I use to even out my skin tone overnight, and now they’ve released a version with added SPF. Using the same skin-enhancing formula, the lightweight hyaluronic serum comes with 4% DHA to give a subtle, gradual tan, while the broad-spectrum SPF 30 means I can use it as part of my morning skincare routine. The oil-free serum skinks into skin seamlessly, leaving behind a fresh, sun-kissed glow.

Natura Bissé

C+C Vitamin Micellar Cleansing Water, £54

The latest addition to Natura Bissé’s brilliant C+C range is a very impressive micellar water, that gently cleanses and removes a full face of make-up without disturbing the skin’s delicate PH levels. Made with brightening Vitamin C, nutrient-rich organic orange water and antioxidant bitter orange extract, the rinse-free formula comes with a zingy citric scent and lightly stimulates the skin while lifting off impurities, leaving behind a glowy complexion without a hint of dullness. And its vegan formula is mild enough for all skin types, even sensitive ones.
