With holidays and a season of social events comes a need to refresh and update your look. Thankfully, there are a slate of exciting new beauty salons coming to the capital this summer to give a dose of inspiration. From the UK retail debut of Ariana Grande’s popular make-up line in Selfridges to two highly anticipated new hair salons, these are the new beauty openings to visit next.
Famed for their flawless manicures, pedicures and nail art, Townhouse has just opened their fourth location a stone’s throw from High Street Kensington tube. Everything at the new location is in keeping with the previous spots, from the elegant spa-like interiors to the meticulous treatments. This new Townhouse does have a tech-forward edge, though, with easy self-book kiosks and digital colour libraries on iPads to pick your perfect hue. With offerings ranging from a simple colour refresh to a supremely luxurious mani-pedi with extended massage and hot cream treatment, there’s something for every budget and need.

Neil Moodie Studio
After tending to the manes of famous faces including Cara Delevingne, Gemma Chan and Rosie Huntington Whiteley, as well as styling hundreds of fashion magazine front covers, renowned British hairstylist Neil Moodie has finally opened his own salon. Drawing on his extensive career, Neil Moodie Studio is a conscious hair salon, offering VIP-treatment and trend-led editorial styling in a 1,600 square-foot studio in Spitalfields. Working in collaboration with Green Salon Collective – an organisation committed to recycling and offsetting –Moodie has set out to reduce the salon’s carbon footprint, from the installation of Eco Head taps, to the use of ‘Scrummi’ compostable hair towel and ‘Vish’ colour weighing scales. In addition to offering hair cuts, colouring and styling from stylists who are trained to cater to all hair types (pricing is also gender neutral to remove any discrimination), the new hair salon will lives up to its studio name by serving as a concept store, a launch-event space, a photographic studio and more.

Launching August 2022
After only being available online as direct to consumer products since its August 2021 launch, pop star Ariana Grande’s make-up and skincare line is making its first foray into the UK retail market at none other than Selfridges. The range of products are a Millennial and Gen Zer’s dream, with versatile, multi-tasking wonders that are designed to create a multitude of stage-worthy looks — Ariana Grande herself first wore her r.e.m. formulas publicly on stage at London’s O2 arena during the Sweetener tour. The vegan, cruelty-free and paraben-free range — all of which will be available at Selfridges — includes a mix of products that create a dewy look with pops of colour as desired. Amongst the most popular products are the Cooling Blurring Undereye Balm (of which one sells every 12 seconds), a botanical-powered eye cream that makes eyes appear brighter and less puffy, and the Eclipse Cheek and Lip Sticks, a dual purpose shot of colour with a luminous finish.
