Pleasing Pop-up

Until 20 March

It seems there’s nothing the uber-talented Harry Styles can’t turn his hand to. After almost single-handedly revolutionising modern male fashion through his partnership with Gucci (spot his best looks at the V&A’s newly-opened ‘Fashioning Masculinities’ exhibition), he launched his own lifestyle label, Pleasing, back in November. Featuring a range of biodegradable nail polishes, moisturisers and serums housed in collectible glass bottles.

To mark the launch of the brand’s second micro collection, Shroom Bloom, he’s opened a psychedelic-inspired pop-up on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch (with simultaneous openings in NYC and LA).  Here you’ll find Pleasing’s four latest polish shades – Sprouting, a pale green opaque gloss, Tender Bud, a mushroom beige opaque gloss, Vine Rip, a vibrant red opaque gloss and The Whole Dewniverse, a sheer holographic bio-glitter polish – and two new products: Acid Drops Lucid Overnight Serum and Hand & Nail Balm plus an accompanying limited-edition range of sustainable apparel, with T-shirts and sweatshirts made from recycled and organic cotton.

Vieve Pop-up

From 23 March – 2 April

Brilliant New London Beauty Pop-Ups To Visit This SpringPin

Founded by Scottish makeup artist and influencer Jamie Genevieve, make-up label Vieve has become something of a cult brand since launching in 2020. Now the vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand is hosting its first ever London pop-up, taking over a prime spot in Covent Garden for 10 days. The beauty pop-up will exclusively feature Vieve’s latest makeup brush launch, as well as their best-selling Eye Wands, Skin Dew and Skin Nova, and a range of their coveted limited-edition ‘Joie de Vieve’ sweatshirts.

What’s more, the brand’s makeup artists will be on hand to create signature mini makeovers and there’ll be special guest appearances from Psychic Sisters, who’ll be providing readings, hairdresser Jack Baxter, who’ll be recreating Jamie’s signature waves, and Face Gym, who’ll be offering their sought-after facial workouts. And as if that wasn’t enough, Jamie herself will be in attendance, hosting an exclusive masterclass to talk guests through the products first-hand.

The British hair styling brand turns the grand old age of 21 this year, and to celebrate they’re opening a townhouse in Fitzrovia for two days only. Dubbed the ‘Official Good Hair Day Weekend’, guests will be offered appointments using GHD’s classic hair straighteners, tongs and stylers, as well as some of their newer innovations like the Curve Thin Wand, and there’ll also be makeup and nail appointments available from Charlotte Tilbury and OPI.

Tickets are required for entry, and each one includes a 30-minute hair styling session, where you’ll be able to choose from a menu of looks including Hollywood Waves and a volume-enhancing Horizontal Twist Wrap, a Charlotte Tilbury masterclass to help perfect your glow or create supermodel brows, and OPI express gel manicures.

Ruka Hair x Westfield

Until 1 May

Brilliant New London Beauty Pop-Ups To Visit This SpringPin

Revolutionary hair brand Ruka was born in the middle of the pandemic, when co-founder Varaidzo Tendai Moyo realised how tired she was with having to buy sub-par hair extensions – ones that were laced with chemicals that would cause her skin to react, or sold in spaces where people would promote skin lightening products. She knew there had to be a better way and so Ruka Hair was born, as a place where Black women could go for innovative, high quality hair solutions.

Ruka’s newly launched nourishing hair perfume

Now Ruka is launching a six-week pop-up at Westfield Stratford, becoming the first Black-owned hair extensions brand to have their own space in the east London shopping centre. As well as selling their extensions you’ll also be able to get your hands on their newly launched nourishing hair perfume, and there’ll be hair experts and stylists on hand to answer any of your haircare questions (education is a huge part of the brand). “The aim of the pop-up is to bring the joy back to shopping for our hair,” says Moyo. “We’re making it easy and we’re making it accessible.”
