The summer fashion pop-ups that will inspire a wardrobe refresh
Summer shopping just got a little more fun. Over the coming months, top brands are getting creative with a series of summer fashion pop-ups that put an inventive spin on the in-person shopping experience. Be transported to a Florentine piazza courtesy of Alighieri’s West London pop-up market, get inspired to make sustainable fashion choices with rental platform My Wardrobe HQ’s Wimbledon-focused boutique at Rosewood London, or discover a beach in the middle of London courtesy of Christian Louboutin’s special residency at Selfridges. These are the pop-ups you won’t want to miss.Â
Christian Louboutin at Selfridges
Titled Loubi’s on the Beach, this special seaside-inspired pop-up at Selfridges’ London flagship is the perfect meeting of nostalgia and contemporary style. Running throughout June, the boutique is set up with a boardwalk, beach huts, kiosk and on-site lifeguard, all incorporating the classic Louboutin red. In addition to items from house’s new summer collection, Greekaba — an Athens-inspired line featuring graphics by illustrator Konstantin Kakanias — there’s also an exclusive limited-edition collection of beach essentials, including three surfboards with various Louboutin motifs, swim sets and beach games.Â

adidas x Gucci
It’s the designer collaboration that every fashion fan will be coveting this summer. Sportswear behemoth adidas has teamed up with luxe Italian fashion house Gucci to create a special collection that merges the two brands’ emblems, combining streetwear, sport-inspired styles with Gucci’s retro, dolce vita aesthetic. To celebrate, Gucci is hosting a series of special, immersive pop-ups – they shut down Melrose Place to launch their LA one, while in London you’ll find them in Selfridges – to showcase the collection, which expands on the eye-catching creations that debuted at their most recent runway show. Playing on the kaleidoscopic aesthetics of the collection, the pop-ups are adorned with a clashing mix of retro prints, echoing the energetic mood of the collaborative styles. Â

Mercato Alighieri at Television Centre
Founder Rosh Mahtani’s Dante-inspired jewellery line has become a standout hit, with her delicate gold necklaces appearing on the necks of countless influential fashion fans. Now, the London-based brands is jumping out of its website and into real life with a special summer pop-up at White City’s Television Centre. In homage to the jewellery’s Italian roots, Alighieri has transformed the West London terrace into an Italian Piazza, with pastel-hued stalls and an outdoor seating area where visitors can relax in the sun and enjoy an aperitivo, gelato or pasta dish. There will of course be Alighieri jewellery to try on and purchase, and the team have also included a dedicated space for private wedding styling sessions as well as a men’s edit.Â
