Alessandra Steinherr picks her five best new beauty products of the week

The Glossary’s Contributing Beauty Director picks her favourite new products, from multi-tasking serums to spring’s freshest scent

As part of my new weekly column I will be choosing five different beauty products to share with you every week, ranging from my favourite new skincare saviours, ultimate make-up must-haves, hair care heroes and body boosters, through to the freshest scents of the season. I get to test every single new beauty product before it hits the stores, so I truly appreciate the life-changing power of a great one. Here are the new releases that I’m most excited about this week.

Dior Addict Stellar Gloss in J’Adior, £28

This is the perfect nude super shiny balmy gloss, which also plumps and deeply nourishes – the dream combination. There’s absolutely no hint of stickiness and it has great staying power for a gloss. There is a wide range of shades, from a bright raspberry to a dark plum, but I think this deep nude shade is the most versatile and one you can wear every day.

Replica by Masion Margiela Parfums – Bubble Bath, Eau de Toilette, 100ml, £98

Don’t let the name fool you, this is not some sickly sweet potion. Rather it’s a soapy clean scent, with clear notes of white musk, jasmine and subtly laced with coconut (but in a good way!) While I’m not usually a fan of coconut in a fragrance, this is cleverly balanced with jasmine here to bring out an indulgent, relaxing feeling. I’ll be wearing this on repeat this springtime – I find it really comforting.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, £60

The latest launch by the make-up artist who loves skincare almost as much as cosmetics, this lightweight serum glides on beautifully under moisturiser and foundation to plump, firm and hydrate. I’m really impressed that it contains so many high performance ingredients, including Vitamin C to brighten, Replexium to firm skin and reduce fine lines and Polyglutamic Acid, which according to Charlotte, is four times more hydrating than Hyaluronic Acid.

Oskia Nutri-Bronze Adaptive Sheer Tinted Serum, £58

This genius adaptive bronzing tint delivers a luminous, holiday glow to all complexions whilst packing a serious skin plumping punch thanks to a plethora of advanced actives such as peptides, bakuchiol and prebiotics. This is the ultimate skincare/make-up hybrid – a few drops gives my skin noticeable radiance and a much needed boost of colour.

Victoria Beckham Smoky Eye Brick in Silk, £40

The latest offering from VB Beauty is this ultra flattering sheer bronzy gold palette – inspired by Victoria’s own signature eye look and her Autumn/Winter 2020 collection – and was designed to look like silk and have the feel of satin. Similar to the Signature palette, but with more of a shimmer, these four gorgeous, sheeny metallic hues ranging from soft champagne to deep copper will enhance every eye-colour.
