Victoria Beckham partners with Augustinus Bader to launch her first skincare product

The moisturiser-meets-primer uses the same active ingredients as the cult face cream

Victoria Beckham has made no secret of her love for Augustinus Bader, and now she is partnering with the man himself, announcing the launch of her first skincare product for the Victoria Beckham Beauty line in collaboration with the brand.

It’s a savvy move from the businesswoman, who added an eponymous beauty line to her hugely successful Victoria Beckham brand in September of this year. The Augustinus Bader brand has risen to cult status since its launch just under two years ago. The brainchild of stem cell scientist Professor Augustinus Bader, its luxury face cream, which comes in two iterations – The Cream and The Rich Cream – has been championed by celebrities and facialists as a ‘miracle product’, becoming the most Googled name in skincare this year as a result.

The Victoria Beckham Beauty Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturiser, which launches today, is a face cream-meets-primer hybrid. It features Bader’s highly praised TFC8 complex, an active ingredient designed to aid skin repair and renewal, as well as papaya enzymes, micro algaes, a black tea ferment, and avocado oil. The formula is intended to be lightweight yet hydrating on the skin, while giving the complexion a subtle radiance.

The product is the first skincare-focused formula for Victoria Beckham Beauty, which currently has a range of make-up for eyes and lips. The beauty brand was conceived by Victoria Beckham, alongside former Estée Lauder executive Sarah Creal, with a focus on cruelty-free practices, transparency and inclusivity.

Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Victoria Beckham posted a picture with Bader, with the caption, “I am so excited to announce our collaboration with Professor @augustinusbader. It has been a dream to develop, with Augustinus, a priming moisturizer that works to improve the health of my skin and gives that fresh, natural glow that I love.”

In a statement released by the brand, Professor Bader described the product as, “the first priming moisturizer of its kind to care for your skin cells while also preparing your skin for makeup application.”

With convenience in mind, Beckham has launched the product in a 30ml and 50ml size, making them travel friendly, while a mini version is also in production.  She also describes the product as unisex, although it’s unlikely you’ll want to share.
