Chane’s muse-of-the-moment Margaret Qualley perfectly encapsulates the joy of summer in the French fashion house’s latest campaign, shot on location in the Mediterranean by Lachlan Bailey. Qualley brings a languid glamour to the capsule collection, which pays homage to plenty of the maison’s signatures, including their emblematic monochrome colour scheme and Gabrielle Chanel’s love of pearls, which appear here laced up a one-piece swimsuit and adorning a beach bag.
There’s even a nod to their trademark tweed jacket, with the fabric reimagined in an ultra-lightweight version for summer that feels almost like terry towelling. There’s a checked red, black and pink tweed mini dress, as well as a shirt jacket and wrap-around skirt in the same design, while a pair of flowing black tweed trousers are the epitome of boho chic. Jacquemus x Net-a-Porter
Get swept up in a Californian heatwave courtesy of Jacquemus, who has turned to the sunny climes of Palm Springs as inspiration for their latest beach capsule collection. Available exclusively for Net-a-Porter, the French brand – which is best known for its micro it-bags – has launched a 23-piece line in sugary pastel colours that offers the ultimate summer wardrobe update.
Focusing on clean lines and playful colours, the collection features the brand’s signature Le Bob Gadjo bucket hats and Le Chiquito bags in a cool mint green and bubblegum pink, as well as linen halter-neck mini dresses, crop tops and cutaway swimsuits. Shot on a sun-drenched white sand beach, the coastal vibe of the campaign pays tribute to the Sun & Sea art installation by Rugile Barzdziukaite, Vaiva Grainythe and Lina Lapelyte, which is currently on show in London until 10 July.
Dolce & Gabbana x Mytheresa
Dolce & Gabbana’s colour-saturated, Italian-inspired designs go hand in hand with sitting by the pool on the Amalfi Coast with a chilled Aperol Spritz, so it’s very fitting that they’ve just launched a glamorous summer capsule collection with Mytheresa designed for just that. Inspired by Mediterranean gardens lined with fragrant lemon trees, the citrus fruit features prominently across the 72-piece collection, appearing on ruffled blouses, high-waist shorts and low-cuit swimsuits.
Designed as the ultimate summer wardrobe, which could take you from the beaches of Sicily to the stylish pool parties of Miami, the collection also includes matching kids’ styles and accessories, meaning you can twin with your mini-me on your next family holiday.
Dioriviera
One of the key signs that summer is finally here is the arrival of the annual Dioriviera beach capsule collection. For their latest iteration, the cheerful wardrobe has been designed as an invitation to travel to sunnier climes, playing on the French fashion house’s fundamentals, from toile de Jouy to bayadère stripes. The exclusive 21-piece capsule collection will be launching globally on 6 July, with a selection of beachwear and accessories that pay homage to Missoni’s iconic zig-zag pattern while also updating it with a thoroughly modern twist.
