February is one of the most important months in the fashion calendar, and with London Fashion Week just around the corner the city is currently abuzz with sartorial excitement. It’s no surprise, then, that some of the biggest names in the industry are coming together to host one-off events and experiences throughout the capital this month, from My Wardrobe HQ’s pop-up at the Rosewood to Prada’s chic ski chalet to Knightsbridge. Rosewood London x My Wardrobe HQ Pop-Up
16 – 17 February
In honour of London Fashion Week, Rosewood London has teamed up with fashion rental marketplace My Wardrobe HQ on a pop-up like no other. The hotel’s newly-opened Lincoln House Suite – a palatial three-bedroom retreat – has been transformed into a boutique fashion house to showcase an expertly curated capsule wardrobe of clothes and accessories from top designers like Stella McCartney and Prada, as well as emerging talent including Maison Marcelle, La Pearlin, Filkk and Mimine AG. All of the pieces are available to rent for a show-stopping front row look – and if you can’t make it to the pop-up, you can also shop the full edit online from Monday 7 February to Sunday 20 February.

Lone Design Club LFW Pop-Up
17 February – 2 March
Lone Design Club – the platform that brings together the best emerging independent and sustainable fashion brands – has teamed up with Fashion Scout to launch a pop-up space in Covent Garden as part of London Fashion Week. Featuring a carefully chosen roster of cutting-edge designers, each hand-picked to showcase their clothing, accessories and lifestyle pieces, the space will also play host to daily events, including workshops and panel discussions, as well as kicking things off with a Fashion Week launch party on Thursday 17 February, where you’ll get the chance to meet the designers and hear the stories behind their creations.

Fenwick x E.L.V. Denim
24 – 26 February
As part of their Rethink. Recycle. Relove campaign, which was launched last month to highlight brands and designers that are leading the way when it comes to all things sustainable, Fenwick are teaming up with East London-based zero-waste denim brand E.L.V. Denim on a pop-up atelier at their Bond Street store. Book in for a one-on-one appointment with the brand’s founder, Anna Foster, to find your perfect pair of jeans and learn more about the label’s upcycle philosophy, which sees them use old, discarded denim to create new, sought-after designs. As part of the appointment, you’ll also receive a portrait of yourself by top fashion illustrator Joanna Layla.

Prada Chalet Pop-Up at Harrods

If you’re planning a trip to the slopes this season, make sure you pay a visit to the Prada Chalet pop-up at Harrods first, the chicest place to pick up your skiwear. The log-lined cabin has been designed as a meticulous reconstruction of an alpine mountain lodge, only this one stocks the latest Re-Nylon quilted jackets, cashmere beanie hats and Prada-branded skis, snowboards and helmets made for zipping down black runs in style. They’ve even brought après ski to Knightsbridge with a limited-edition café, serving up Italian delicacies and sweet treats courtesy of renowned Milanese pastry shop Marchesi 1824.

Selfridges Universe Pop-Up

This multi-dimensional pop-up at Selfridges has been developed in collaboration with Op-Art designer Victor Vasarely and Spanish label Paco Rabanne to mark the launch of the latter’s Spring Summer 2022 collection, which was inspired by Vasarely’s geometric patterns and designs. The unique exhibition brings together 37 physical products along with over 1,800 digital NFT counterparts, created by London-based NFT platform, Substance. All of the pieces can be bought in-store, making Selfridges the world’s first retailer to sell fixed-price NFTs in real life and further cementing the movement of NFT art into the world of luxury fashion.

A Fine Line in Fashion: The Art of Gladys Perint Palmer
15 - 20 February
Renowned fashion illustrator and author Gladys Perint Palmer (or GPP, as she’s known in the industry), is being celebrated with a retrospective of her work and extraordinary life in fashion at Gray M.C.A. gallery in South Kensington. Known for her exuberantly colour-filled illustrations sketched on the front rows of shows like Dior, Alexander McQueen, Christian Lacroix and Balenciaga, Palmer’s irreverent eye not only captures the exquisite clothes but also the spirit of the models that wore them. The exhibition will bring together over 30 original fashion illustrations, and GPP will appear in person for a live masterclass on the evening of 17 February.

Luxury Italian label Salvatore Ferragamo throws open the doors of its Old Bond Street flagship for a two-day celebration of the house’s craftsmanship and creativity. The ‘in-store cocktail party’ means customers can browse the SS22 collection, lauded for its bohemian-meets-utilitarian aesthetic, accompanied by the dulcet tones of Italian jazz musician Noemi Nuti, followed by a DJ set. Mediterranean nibbles, sweet treats and aperitivo add to the dolce vita vibe. Make sure you stop for a picture by the in-store photographer – you can take it home as a memento, alongside an exclusive personalised bag with a special gift inside.

London College of Fashion
19 February
London College of Fashion is a world leader when it comes to fashion design, media and business education, with alumni including Emma Hope, Ioana Ciolacu, Jonathan Anderson and William Tempest. So where better to be during London Fashion Week than LCFMA22 at Victoria House Basement, where postgraduate students will be showcasing their work from across LCF’s portfolio of postgrad courses. While models will be walking the space wearing menswear and womenswear designs, displays will include footwear, artefacts, fashion film, photography and more. For an opportunity to catch the next-gen designers, this is it.
